Company

We build the floor, not the worker.

Velone is an infrastructure company. We do not sell an agent, a model, or a framework. We sell the boundary that makes other people's agents safe enough to turn on.

01 / why we exist

Roughly four in five companies have adopted agents. About two in a hundred have scaled them.

That gap is not a model problem. The models are good enough, and they get better on someone else’s roadmap every quarter. The gap is that nobody can answer the security review: what can this thing reach, what stops it, and how would you prove what it did.

Five vendors each sell a piece of the answer, and the integration between them is homework. We think that integration is the product, and that it belongs in infrastructure rather than in every company’s platform team.

02 / what we believe

The brain is not ours
Models will keep changing and the best one will keep moving. Any product that depends on a particular model being best is a feature with an expiry date.
The loop is not ours
Orchestration is converging and its margin is going to zero. We sit under the harness so we never have to win that argument.
Controls must be external
Anything in the same process as the model can be influenced by the model. A boundary has to be somewhere the prompt cannot reach.
Evidence beats assurance
A vendor promise is worth less than a record the customer can verify without us. We would rather be provable than trusted.
Neutrality is the moat
Hyperscalers cannot be cloud-agnostic and model labs cannot be model-agnostic. That is the ground we can hold.
Say no clearly
We publish where we lose, what we have not certified, and which deployment we would steer you away from. It costs us some deals and saves us the wrong ones.

03 / what we refuse to build

A short list we intend to keep.

Our own model

Five labs with more capital than us are doing this well. We would be worse at it and it would compromise our neutrality.

Our own framework

You already picked one. Asking you to migrate to adopt a security boundary is a bad trade for you.

A finished agent

The moment we sell an agent we compete with our customers. We sell the factory floor, not the worker.

An eval product

Braintrust and LangSmith exist and are good. Bundling a weak version to pad a slide helps nobody.

stage

Raised to reach design-partner scale.

Where we are
Distributed across London, Berlin, and Bangalore, with a legal entity in Delaware.
How we work
Written proposals before meetings. Every engineer takes on-call, including the founders. No separate ops team to absorb our mistakes.
Who we sell to
Platform and security teams at companies where an agent already touches code, money, or customer systems.
Who we do not
Teams looking for a demo to show a board. The product only pays for itself against a workload that would genuinely hurt.

Come and argue with the thesis.

If you think we are wrong about where this layer belongs, we want that conversation more than a polite one.
